When a cardiac arrest occurs, every minute counts. Digital technologies can help get life-saving assistance to the scene more quickly. This is precisely what the Swiss company sureVIVE is working on with its solutions for ‘first responders’ (as sureVIVE calls the first-aiders who work on its behalf), for emergency services and emergency response organisations.
To ensure these systems operate reliably at all times, Primetrack supports the company with comprehensive IT services – 24/7.
This collaboration serves as a prime example of how important reliable IT is in the medical and emergency services sectors. After all, if systems used to alert first responders or coordinate operations fail, this can cost valuable time in an emergency.
Digital solutions for faster assistance
sureVIVE develops digital platforms and apps that help emergency services respond to emergencies more quickly and efficiently. One of its best-known solutions is the first-responder app ‘Momentum’, which alerts volunteer first responders when a cardiac arrest is reported in their vicinity.
Registered first responders receive alerts directly from the emergency control centre via the app and can head straight to the scene – often before the ambulance service arrives, which can save valuable minutes.
In addition, sureVIVE is developing further solutions available on its digital platform «Momentum PRO» for specialist rescue teams, the Alpine Rescue Service and emergency services in Switzerland. Among other things, Momentum PRO enables:
- the alerting and coordination of emergency services
- shared situational awareness for rescue teams
- Real-time information and live broadcasts from the field
Such systems are a key component of modern emergency response chains – and must be available at all times.
Reliable background operation
To enable sureVIVE to focus on further developing its solutions, Primetrack is taking on key IT operational tasks.
The services include:
- First-level support as the central point of contact for support enquiries
- Second-level support for complex technical issues
- 24/7 on-call service, ensuring a rapid response even outside office hours
In the field of emergency response technologies in particular, constant availability is crucial. Systems must function at all times – and should a fault ever occur, support must be available immediately.
With clear support processes, defined service levels and experienced IT specialists, Primetrack ensures that technical issues are identified quickly and resolved efficiently.
An understanding of the application – even outside the IT sector
However, the collaboration between Primetrack and sureVIVE goes beyond traditional IT services. A notable example of this is the involvement of Dennis Robles, IT Service Manager at Primetrack.
He took a look behind the scenes at sureVIVE and was so impressed that he has since completed a course qualifying him as a first responder. This has given him direct insight into sureVIVE’s work, helping him to understand the individual procedures in detail. Naturally, he will now put what he has learnt into practice as a first responder in an emergency!
A course that trains participants to become first responders covers, among other things, the following areas:
- CPR in the event of cardiac arrest
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- the procedures involved in a first-responder operation
The first-responder course really drove home to Dennis just how important it is to provide rapid assistance and have reliable systems in place. He is delighted:
Working together for reliable digital rescue chains
Digital technologies are becoming increasingly important in the emergency services. Systems for alerting, coordination and information sharing help to ensure a faster and more targeted response.
Particularly in environments where human lives and medical care are the top priority, reliable systems and rapid support are essential. For these solutions to reach their full potential, strong partners are needed behind the scenes.
With reliable support, clear processes and a dedicated team, Primetrack ensures that organisations such as sureVIVE can focus on their core mission: providing rapid assistance to people in need.
